Environmental Policy
Introduction
Sustainable development and good governance form the foundation of our operations. The purpose of the Environmental Policy is to ensure that environmental practices support the Group’s strategic success, competitiveness and sustainable development.
The Environmental Policy establishes shared standards that guide our operations both within the Group and in collaboration with partners and suppliers. We comply with applicable international and national laws and regulations in all our operating countries and take into account key international agreements, such as the Paris Agreement.
Scope
The policy covers all Bravedo operations, including all subsidiaries and business areas.
It also applies to our most significant business partners and suppliers, from whom we require commitment to the principles of this policy and to Bravedo’s Supplier Code of Conduct in procurements managed by Group Procurement.
In addition, the policy extends to customer work and assignments to the extent that they involve material environmental impacts.
All Bravedo subsidiaries and employees are committed to complying with this Environmental Policy. Subsidiaries may also establish their own environmental policies, but these must be aligned with the Group policy and meet at least the minimum requirements defined in this policy.
Accessibility
Bravedo’s Environmental Policy is available in Finnish and English on the Group’s website. The policy is reviewed annually and updated when necessary to reflect best practices and evolving legal requirements.
Stakeholder Consultation and Involvement
The Environmental Policy has been prepared in consultation with Bravedo’s Sustainability Committee, which includes representatives from different companies and personnel groups. In addition, Bravedo has conducted a double materiality assessment involving key stakeholders — employees, customers and suppliers. The most significant environmental aspects identified in the assessment have been taken into account in this policy.
Implementation and Oversight
The Bravedo Oy Steering Group has approved these principles and oversees their implementation at the Group level. Each subsidiary is responsible for appointing a person accountable for ensuring implementation and reporting to its board when necessary.

Principles
Awareness
We increase employees’ awareness of environmental responsibility and promote training and practical tools to support its implementation. If our operations cause negative environmental impacts, we act promptly to minimise the impacts and take corrective and, where necessary, compensatory measures.
Bravedo conducts annual emissions calculations covering its own operations (Scope 1 and 2) as well as significant value chain impacts through suppliers and other Scope 3 emission categories. This data forms the basis for setting targets for continuous improvement.
Climate Responsibility
All Bravedo companies are committed to monitoring their carbon footprint and emissions intensity and to minimising their most significant negative climate impacts.
We are committed to developing our operations in an environmentally responsible manner and to offering solutions that support sustainable development for our customers. Our objective is to focus on reducing the most significant climate impacts, which also contributes to the preservation of biodiversity.
We require Group companies to carry out comprehensive emissions calculations (Scope 1, 2 and 3) and to report the results annually to Group management. These results are used to set emission reduction targets.
We promote climate action by focusing on improving energy efficiency, increasing the use of renewable energy sources and enhancing resource efficiency in our operations. Our objective is to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and increase the share of renewable energy in energy consumption.
Our objective is to minimise Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030.
Sustainable Procurement and Use
Bravedo focuses on the sustainable sourcing and use of renewable natural resources and on promoting recycling. Attention is given to reducing the use of virgin resources and advancing the circular economy.
